Mark Routen
Head of Tax
Mark, with 30 years of tax experience, began his career at the Inland Revenue (now HMRC) before transitioning to major accounting firms. Later, he founded his own company, specializing in expat tax planning, notably in India and Hong Kong. His expertise extends to European locations, focusing on France, Spain, and Portugal for the past decade. At Hoxton since 2021, Mark heads the in-house tax division and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Matthew Tailford
Commercial Director
Matt is a Chartered Financial Planner and Fellow of the UK’s Chartered Insurance Institute. He has worked in the financial services industry for over 20 years and has resided in the UAE since 2009. Matt has worked with expatriate financial intermediaries and occupied senior roles within the sector during this time.

Daniel Abott
Financial Advisor
Daniel, a First Class BSc in Accounting and Finance graduate, began his career as an Accountant in the UK. He specialized in dentists’ accounts before auditing with KPMG in Dubai for two years. Daniel then became a Senior Accountant and Financial Controller at Thales. In 2020, he entered the Wealth Management Industry, rising from Finance Manager to Finance Director. Now a qualified and regulated Financial Planner, Daniel balances his career with family time, enjoying activities like dining out and playing chess and football.
